Different Types of Social Media

Social media  are  computer-mediated  technologies that facilitate the creation and sharing of  information , ideas, career interests and other forms of expression via  virtual communities  and  networks . (wikipedia.org) There are 6 types of Social Media 1. Social Networks - allow you to connect with other people with the same interest. 2. Bookmarking Sites - allow you to store and manage links to various websites and resources. 3. Social News - allow users to post their own news items or links to other new sources. 4. Media Sharing - allow you to upload and share media content like images, music, and video. 5. Microblogging - focus on short updates from the users. 6. Blogs and Forums - allow users to post their content. Others users are able to connect on said topic.
